This includes the design of the battery pack housing as well as thermal systemandEE system along with LV and HV system design and module design. The successful candidate will have good understanding and experience in HV battery design andwill have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Your Responsibilities:Support system and component level (electrical and mechanical) design of battery packs; including integration into vehicle platformsSupport preparation of battery design reviewsSupport the preparation of battery system and component quality documentation (boundary diagrams, P diagrams, robustness check lists, FMEAs and test plans)Liaise with relevant teams to support battery design tasks (i.e. simulation, testing, suppliers and manufacturing)Support battery pack/module drawing creationSupport assessment of test and simulation results and defining next stepsSupport supplier assessment and discussionsYour Profile:Essential:Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar (min 2:1)Catia V5/V6, Creo or Unigraphics NX experienceGood understanding of HV battery design fundamentalsExperiencein system and component design of battery packs, preferably in the automotive or commercial vehicle industriesStrong communication, teamwork and leading abilitiesGood written and oral English along with competent presentation skillsWillingness to travelDriving licensePreferable:Member of a relevant professional institute (e.g. IET orIMechE)PhDCharteredProject Management experienceIf an offer of employment is made, applicants are required to undergo a DBS check.
